Well here we go again. Last week with the holiday we were busy and I did not get a post on my blog. It has been a busy and rewarding week. We went to the Memorial Day Parade and talked to a few people who would talk with us and then we went street contacting and then we went to the Stake President’s home for a cook out and we had a great time there. We have taught about seven or eight lessons this last week and called and visited many more people. The Winnebago Branch is growing in numbers as the young men and women come home from college and university for the summer. We love the testimony and spirit they bring with them. We now have a branch mission leader and four or five branch missionaries, how great is that! We know as they work with the young single adults they will find many friends and associates to bring into the gospel. The work is progressing and we love being a part of it. On the 15th of June we are having a All Mission Conferece. It will be held at our stake center in Neenah. We have Elder Dallin H. Oaks coming and five other general authorities. Every missionary is happy and excited to meet and be taught be these chosen leaders.
As the weather warmed up we got lake flies. They were here by the thousands and I was going crazy because every time you walked out the door they would attack you. (It is always adviseable to keep your mouth closed.) The good news is that they only lasted two weeks then died off, the bad new is there can be more than one hatch a year (Oh goody). They were more a nuisance than anything because they loved to hover around you but they did not bite. For three days last week we had some hot muggy weather and for those three days we had tornado wactches out but we did not get anything more than some good heavy rains out of it. However south west Wisconsin had one tornado that did damage some buildings and mobile homes. They can keep them down there that is something I have told the Lord I really do not need to experience.
Elder Wood and I are doing great we know the Lord has bless us and we are so happy we chose to serve a mission. We love the state of Wisconsin, we love where we are serving, but most of all we love the people.
